What To Expect

This Bliss Break: Black History Month in D.C. day trip begins with an early morning departure from New York City. Travel in comfort aboard a deluxe motor coach as we make our way south through New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland. Upon arrival in Washington, D.C., begin your journey with a moving stop at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Then, spend the day exploring the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture (NMAAHC)—a powerful tribute to centuries of African American life, history, and culture. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at a Black-owned restaurant on U Street, once known as “Black Broadway.” Along the way, visit the African American Civil War Memorial, which honors over 200,000 Black soldiers and sailors who fought for freedom during the Civil War. After dinner, relax on the motor coach for your return trip to New York City, arriving later that evening.

Please Note: While the itinerary is designed for a smooth flow, adjustments may occasionally be made due to traffic, weather, or museum policies.
